MacBook Pro Vented Bottom?

I have a MacBook Pro 15in 2019 and as we all know it has a lot of thermal and cooling issues. I was thinking of getting a new bottom for my computer and venting the bottom right above the fans to get better air flow. Has anyone done this? Does it help with thermal throttling, cooling, and performance?

It would actually have worse thermals unless you attach a fan to it directly. The reason it has the two slits on the side and vents out the hinge is to have proper airflow over components without direct contact with the heatpipes like the VRMs.

There's not much you can do - the cooling is really done by the heat pipes and the fans to those components.

Clean out any dust, repaste, and undervolt. Other than that you are really at the mercy of Apple's engineering

I have had a MBP for a while. Not a new one and I've always thought that it might be interesting to see if getting some big extruded aluminum heatsink from AliExpress and resting the laptop on it would work.
