Unraid AMD Reset Bug: Problems with patched kernel...

System Specs:
3950x

top slot: 5700xt

middle: 290x

ASUS x570 Strix e with latest BIOS as of writing this.

I am running the lates stable version and got the patched kernel from here:  https://forums.unraid.net/topic/82625-kernelcustom-kernel-build-with-treaks-20200307-v683558419108naviveganfsv4r8125zen2/(I got the 5.5.8 Version to have better support for my Zen2 CPU).

Rebooting a VM now works without the system crashing, BUT:
 

The GPU thats booted to unread terminal at first acts like it would reset and boot the VM, but it gets stuck at the TianoCore Image...

Anny help for this? Thanks!

I'm unsure of your issue, but I use UnRAID on X570 with a 3950x using the latest build of UnRAID 6.8.x just fine. I didnt need a patched version. 

Im currently running the UnRAID Nvidia version 6.8.2 

 

The GPU issue sounds like some sort of VFIO bug...perhaps more related to the AMD GPU rather than the CPU

Yep is relate to the GPU. There is a fixed kernel but yeha that only works for non boot GPUs for me...
