hey i have a pc which is running a windows 8.1 in mbr and when i wanted to upgrade it to windows 10 i got a problem it needed gpt partition then i found a program that will help me to convert it to gpt but will the windows 8 still boot  in gpt partition

How many drives do you have in the PC? Maybe try changing boot priority in BIOS?

First of all make a backup. Use Veeam Endpoint, Clonezilla or any other backup software.
