Well can you tell me what parts you are using or your money in total and we can help figure out an good part list that has everything in a fair performance to cost ratio.

No it's ok i have some people who have built PC's before helping me out just thought I'd try and figure some stuff out by myself, learning curve :P

Still I mean it will help us try to answer if a i5 or 8320 is better suited for your build. I mean if you can put less money into a CPU with no performance hit and put some somewhere else like a GPU then it will go a long way. TRUST ME.

Ok, what would be a recommendation for 16gbs of ram and a graphics card within $450?

My whole budget for the PC is $1500

For 1500$? Can I get a PC part picker link really quick? So you want 16Gigs of Ram a 450$ graphics card and anything else?

I think AMD cpu + nvidia card is just ugly.. but of course it works :P

I would put a 4670k in there, or keep the 8350 and put a r9 290x card.

How? Performance wise they do great. I guess personal preference but those specs will do great on any game.

Also right now getting the 780 is important due to how graphically demanding games are. Intel really has not show that much FPS change in videogames. I mean really they have not. AMD and Intel for gaming have no differences in FPS. Also a r9 290x is being eaten up by Bitcoin miners and on newegg cost as much a 1000$. TRUST ME, this build will do wonders and stay golden for a good 5 years. and or more.

Is liquid cooling necessary? I would rather not use it as i don't want to have to maintain it. Also 128gb is not enough for the amount of data I use

Its a All in one close loop. Its maintenance free so once you put it in you don't have to worry about it :D

Switch that out for like a Bequiet! cooler. Would match build more in looks and is much more quiet. His limit is 1500$ All tho I had a 212 and it did work wonders. But yea Bequiet! cooler would work better in the favor of quietness.

How do I install Windows without an optical drive? And also could I change Windows 7 to Windows 8?

Yea! Il change up the parts list to Win 8 and add a Disk drive :3 (I install it sometimes through USB or USB Optical drive.) Would you want to keep the water cooler (since its maintenance free or do you want me to swap it out?

If you do not have specific reason why you would want 8 instead of 7, and can justify it well enough, don't do it.

The only benefit I found, that I can feel and notice day to day, from moving to 8.1 pro (used 7 pro before) is that I can have video formats taken by video capture software sized higher than 4GB.

Other than that, the UI is crap, and there are somethings that there is no going around with, along with small little compatibility bugs of many programs here and there.

So think carefully before you go with 8. Its not laptop that you are buying that you don't have much choice about.

You're right, I just said it's ugly :P

8350 is a great cpu, but wouldn't pcie 2.0 bottleneck gtx 780? I dont like AMD boards, they are old, behind.. what about upgrades?

Maximus vi hero or a msi gd45 gaming are much better boards, with better sound and ethernet, If you're buying a great pc, dont buy a dead socket.
