Lagging bad after fresh install

Zagarott

Hello all hope can find some answers
My friends PC recently was acting up lagging/BSOD at our lan
when he got home it was being even more wack so he decided to do a fresh install of windows which worked but then he got really bad lagging/stuttering on desktop after install.(Was installed on an SSD)

Originally thought it was the Mobo/CPU so i lent him my known good ones old AMD platform i was using for a server.

He installed and then when he installed windows again same thing Lagging/stuttering from the getgo.

He tried on his other SSD too and both the same.

He has a 2070 not sure what the mobo/cpu(Mobo is a Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-HD3P) are now but old AMD APU one not the best but we are in lockdown so better than nothing.

Not sure exactly what the issue would be accross multiple components like that unless failing SSDs can cause this issue.

Sorry for not having all the tech details from this he isnt the best when it comes to that stuff so just trying to see if anyone would have any clue.

Make sure you reinstall any and all necessary drivers needed from the respective manufacturers. Not having proper drivers can cause heavy lag and issues as Windows is trying to use generic drivers to try and communicate with the equipment.

CPU: Pentium G3258 @ 3.2GHz || GPU:(first release,used) MSI R9 270 OC || Motherboard:MSI Z97-G45 Gaming Motherboard || RAM: 8 GB G.Skill Sniper 1600 || Monitors: Vizio 22 in Ultra slim 1080p TV || Storage: Seagate barracuda 160 GB 7200RPM,(REFURB) 1TB toshiba 7200RPM || PSU: (stripped from 2013 CAD PC)Corsair CX600 build was under $420

It'd be that the wrong drivers/no drivers are installed and are necessary.

Here's some mobo drivers for you: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-F2A88XM-HD3P-rev-10/support#support-dl-driver

Install the ones that apply to you :)

Thats the ticket. Windows can only do so much when you do a fresh install. it is always best to lookup each hardwares product page and download the drivers to get the best support. I always have lagging issues with new server setups.
