But locker?? Help! Virus!

My brother got a fuck tonne of viruses on his pc including Santivirus and a lot of sketchy stuff.

 

cant go into safe mode cuz big locker, pretty sure can’t reset then either.

 

it says it needs a key. The computer is a personal computer, it has no organisation or business acc on it or anything, we have no usb or disks or anything for it or any manual or paper or anything.

how do we do this?

The easiest way to deal with it is to dump it and start from 0. Download Rufus Tool and create a bootable flash drive with the Windows 10 installer. Assuming the machine was running Windows previously you shouldn't have to enter a product key for Windows activation. Hopefully anything important was backed up as accessing anything now is unlikely.

 

Keep the computer off your network until you have it cleaned up. 

 

If you have a spare SSD or HDD laying around you could install Windows on that and then run a few free tools such as Mbam, Mbar, Eset, and BitDefender on the infected HDD/SSD. After running your scans try and boot off of it and see what happens. If it's unsuccessful you can at least try and get any important files off the drive before starting from 0.

 Yeah, what he said, and make sure you back everything up on an external drive as a system image file next time.

HAHAHAHA autocorrect at 3am last night autocorrected bitlocker every time XDDD but locker and big locker!!

 

 

anyway i just searched bitlocker in the search bar and it said 'disable', i clicked it and violah it de-encrypted everything problemo solved.
