so im building a new gaming pc and just wanting peoples opinions on which gpu to choose 2070 super or 5700xt i game on 3440x1440 playing games recently such as doom

the rest of the build consists of

ryzen 5 3600

16gb ram

nvme boot ssd

2 1tb 2.5" ssds storage

also ill add there is a $2-300 price difference between the two cards, the 2070 super being $1000 and the 5700xt being 7-800 on average

really only for gaming and not even the most high end, just want a good pc to last the years to come

The 5700 XT wins in performance.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

He says he wants to play Doom. Doom uses Vulkan engine and Nvidia outshines AMD gpus on that engine. The majority of games with the exception of a few perform better on Nvidia GPUS. Also if you do video editing etc Nvida is the way to go. It may be more expensive but it is the more versatile card.

Amd uses Vulkan, Nvidia does not.
