Hey guys, i apologise firstly if this is in the wrong section as ive never used these forums before, but a friend recommended me to make a post about some recent pc issues. I have a prebuilt dell pc (i know), its a dell inspiron 5675 gaming desktop. recently it has started randomly shutting off and rebooting, no "windows is shutting down" its just stops. ill be playing games or listening to music and the sound will "drag out" or "jar" or whatever youd call it, it drags on the sound and then everything stops. my monitors display "no hdmi signal from your device" and then the dell logo and it starts up again. it doesnt always correlate to intense usage, sometimes its just while im in chrome and other times its when im playing games (mainly minecraft so its not too strenuous lmao) ive updated my gpu drivers (amd radeon rx 560 gpu), updated the BIOS, ive checked gpu temperatures (35-45c) and im not entirely sure what else i need to do to narrow down the problem. my main issue is just not knowing whats wrong! im at the point of thinking its probably the psu, but i want to make sure before it buy a replacement so if anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated

thanks!

Maybe try checking the CPU temps. Other than that it could be the PSU.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600

GPU: MSI GTX 1070 8GB

Storage: WD Blue 1TB HDD, WD Blue 500GB SSD

CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken m22 AIO Cooler

Easiest thing first, update drivers, check temps. If that doesn't work, try re-seating GPU, Memory, CPU, in that order, checking to see if the problem goes away between each. Remember to reapply thermal paste when re-seating the CPU.

If none of these fix it, it's either time to reinstall Windows, or you have hardware failing.

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Linux - Fedora
