PLZ help GPU issues

threadripper

So i have this big issue where my GPU is sucking. I have a msi gtx 1080ti gaming x trio with a Ryzen 7 2700x and 16gb of corsair 3200 ddr4 ram. And when playing games my fps is very bad. My card is not reaching its full potential, and the fans on the GPU are not even coming on, Ive updated drivers checked to make sure the bios was up to date and even tried old drivers  Take battlefield 5 for example in max settings i should be getting around 150 frames, i am barely breaking 60. I do understand bf5 is a CPU intensive game and GPU utilization is extremely Low, but i watched a video with someone that's got the same CPU but a 1070 and hes getting better fps than me.  and thats not the only game it happens in. I am extremely frustrated, and need help. I also cant get the osd with msi afterburner to display temps and and cpu/gpu usage in game, it did it once but never again. Thx in advance for any help. Its greatly appreciated

When you say you should be getting 150 frames per second in BF5, at what resolution are you playing it at? Is it 1080P or 1440P? Have you checked in Nvidia Geforce to make sure the target frame rate isn't locked at 60? At 1440P max settings, you're not gonna get 150 fps with your setup in games like BF5, not quite.

MSI Afterburner as OSD keys to choose make sure that and gpu temps, usage are selected to show it as well on rivatuner must have osd set on either the low or medium setting for application detection level. Then in game hitting the key you set or not it should show up. BF5 is gpu intensive, so I'd also recommend setting a decent fan curve to keep the card cool enough to pull as much mhz as you have with what you have OC settings to.

If your fan aren't turning on that's a whole other issue with the card itself or something is nvidia control panel. There settings in there too to boost performance. Just FYI I use texture filtering quality set to high performance. Don't worry it effects no game graphics.

I just played RE3 DEMO with everything max on my 1070 ti. Well around 100 FPS. However RE engine one of a kind. Like seeing everything sweat pore on them is just insane and the lighting is glorious.

it is in 1080p

Then yes, you shouldn't have a issue. Your card is not keeping itself cool it seems. Your saying no fans come on try to turn them on in afterburner manually. If they don't turn on by their self when playing games. You can also try a benchmark or download OCCT it has gpu test built in.

How are you using NVIDIA control panel defaulted? It should be on "use the advanced 3D image settings".
