Decrease in sound quality with earbuds on win10?

Hi guys,

 

I am currently looking for a good pair of bluetooth headphones for working on win10 (bluetooth 5). Main use will be listening to music, as well as taking calls via Slack, Hangouts, etc. So I thought about purchasing the Apple Air Pods Pro or the Bose 700.

 

As I wouldn't like to waste money on a fancy headset which in the end bring half of sound quality in taking calls and listening music I have the following question: Is there a huge quality loss when pairing both headsets with win10? I don't mind to loose some functionality on win10, but I wouldn't like to have a decrease in mic and sound quality. Will there be a huge quality difference?

earbuds and headset have a big audio quality difference. Mayby if you buy expensive earbuds, then not so much difference in quality, but then why just buy a good headset?

 

 

Over 100 dollar earbuds are pretty good in terms of audio quality, but with over 100 dollars you could just buy a good headset

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

Windows 10 has nothing to do with it. Over the ear headphones are just way better than earbuds, dollar for dollar. Don't get Bluetooth unless you have to.  Either get wired, or a 2.4GHz wireless headset.

 

Once the pandemic is cleared, I recommend going to your local electronics store and trying some sets. How they fit you personally is a big factor.

Thank you for your replies. I understand that there is a general difference in sound quality between earbuds and headphones. My main question was, whether when using Apple Air Pods on Windows, whether there will be a decrease in the sound quality as some iOS/Mac specific sound features won't work (software wise). Same for the BOSE 700, they have a companion app which enables some software realted quality increase. This will be lost when using them with win10, right? As both headsets are not made for windows I just wanted to know, whether I will have a loss in quality from those headsets when used via windows.

Also, do you have any suggestions for a headset which has a good microphone and audio quality? can be earbuds or regular headphones. Should be wireless and offer some practical case for storage during travel. Budget can be up to 500€

earbuds/headphone however amplifies the artifacts, sometimes it makes less-than-ideal tracks sounds bad.

why everybody post the spec of their rig here? i dont! cuz its made of mashed potatoes!

Alot of speaker's can be a hell of alot more detailed than headphones, and can make alot of stuff sound bad.

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

 

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)
