Guys I'm getting a new case (Corsair Crystal 680X) for my coming birthday. Yes I know, I get to pick my own present XD

So the question is, aesthetics. See, I'm grabbing this case for the aesthetics. I've purchased my RGB RAM for quite a while now. All that's left is the case and fans.

BUT, I need one more thing. AIO Liquid Coolers. I'm still eyeing between H100i or H110i (both RGB of course). However I'm thrown into quite a predicament as my existing cooler is none other than notorious Noctua NHD-14. I've looked it up, benchmarks and stuffs (even linus' own benchmarks) and NHD-14 wins by quite a significant margin.

That being said, I've decided to keep my existing cooler. But a friend of mine said go big or go home. And especially for this CASE (pun intended), NHD-14 is too big of a factor to count out as the aesthetics. I mean, it basically occupies half of the top part of the light show.

So, the question is, now I'm left with three options:

1. Should I sacrifice cooling performance for looks?

2. Or should I just let the looks be as it is (680X with NHD-14)?

3. Or should I just not switch case at all?

4. If any of the readers have any better idea, I'd be more than welcome to hear (or read) it

A little bit more information of my setup

Case: NZXT Switch 810

Processor: Intel i5 6600K 3.5 GHz (with OC Profile to 4.4 GHz)

Proc Temp: Idle: 34

Proc Temp Full Load: 67

Side note: Last thermal paste I applied was about 3 years ago, and benchmarked right after was around 56 even at full load.

You have a couple of options.
1: Embrace Noctua. Only true enthusiasts would buy brown coolers with performance in mind.
2: Chromax Covers: Noctua sells Chromax covers for the silver heatsink to make it look a bit better.
3: Swap fans to chromax: this one is pretty self explanatory.
4: AIO, just for the looks. I don't reccomend it.

Bad timing to order stuff lol

If you're referring to the coronavirus, at ease. My country's motto is: you can stop working when you're dead.

So, still NHD-14. But I assume you'd still say go for the new case?

Dumb considering how infectious it is

30 days? U jest. In just 3 days the infected has gone up by 200 here. But don't take it on me. I'm a boss, and my company is taking sweet holiday for 14 days now. Well, anyway, let's not get sidetracked, I hope there's more than 1 guy who answers this question. I'm really curious as what others think

I would recommend the Arctic Freezer 34 esports DUO. You get the best of both worlds. Performance AND Aesthetics. And it's a very good price. Look it up when you get the chance. I have never seen a negative review about this cooler. This also beats out or at least comes close to beating out a lot of liquid coolers.

that depends. what are temps right now? do you overclock? If so how much?

OC only by the stock settings (3.5 GHz to 4.4GHz) I never really tinkered with its voltage. Temp is around 67 at full load. At idle it can go as low as 34.

I've looked it up and I don't think I will buy it. Reason being I have my air cooler and the decision is whether I'll switch to liquid cooling or not.

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys!
