Low Gpu Usage

Hello everyone,

My Gtx 1650 (Single channel 2400mhz cl17 Ram, i5 9300h, 512gb SSD) is runnin gon a to low Usage in some games. For example on 50% on CSGO or 70% in Pubg. In some games my gpu is only at a 40% usage. Its deffinately not a Bottleneck and i dont really think that its cause of the Single Channel. Ive done Like everything ive seen so war but nothing has helped me. Sry for my bad english .

Because why? 

 

you are running that DIMM @ 1200Mhz cl 17 obviously its the ram that is bottlenecking you couldnt go any slower than that...

Wow Thats really bad. Isnt there any way to get the Gpu´s Usage any higher? My laptop only has one Ram Slot so i cant run it in dual Channel. Will i get some Improvment if i would buy a 16gb 2666mhz cl15 Ram stick?

I doubt that you run single channel on a laptop download cpu-Z and printscreen the memory tab

how can i Printscreen?

there is a button on your laptop usually somewhere on the top right after the F buttons labeled as Druck or PrntScrn push that

 

then open paint

 

the paste the image

 

save it to your pictures folder or whatever and then drag and drop it here

You must have a slot to add a second DIMM then whats the laptop's brand and model? 

 

As for increasing GPU usage if your hardware isnt strong enough to push it there isnt much you can do

 

What you can do is change the performance settings 

 

  (some of those settings will come to a cost of your battery life)

Its really only one Ram Slot. Its the Lenovo L340 15IRH 81LK. Ive tried every Battery setting there is and went much further. Ive done every Nvidia 3D settings Optimazations too. Some games use 99% of my Gpu too, For example War Thunder or World of Tanks.

Oh and i think my Laptop only supports ram speeds up to 2666mhz.

its a fast ram but the ripjaws 3000 cl 16 is faster

 

usually ram doesnt play a huge part in game perfomance but judging that your bizzare laptop has 1 channel of ram and its a very slow ram you will see some FPS increase with faster ram for sure.. just get in contact with lenovo to be sure that it can support faster ram

 

furthermore 16 GB is a better capacity because games need ram chrome browser needs ram the iGPU of your laptop is goignt to use 2GB of your ram... so 8 is kinda small to begin with

Ok good but is the speed really good enough to utilize the lack of dual channel? and my Laptop sadly only supports 2666mhz.

well I cant say for sure... its a very strange issue for me to know exactly how things will turn out. 

 

The memory is  faster in speed and in latency to your current one so it will perform better

 

and it would be better in general to have more than 8GB (especially since 2 of them are reserved by the iGPU)

dont expect a huge performance leap though it will be better though 

 

Now you know never to buy a single channel laptop if you are interested in gaming

yes i will that will be interesting cause i cant find ANYWHERE a comparison in 1x8gb ram vs 1x16gb ram and i think that will be interesting. And i didnt knew before that its only single channel

But i still need some help ive seen Peoble get a 100% Usage on the same Laptop in for example CSGO.

why are you fixated on the gou usage on not the machines performance.

the gpu usage stat is just the ammount of time the gpu is busy , not the % at which it is being used
