I have a Ryzen 7 2700x pair with a GTX 1060 3gb (If this is important I also have a 970 Evo plus 250gb with a 2tb HHD and 32gb of ram).
When I would be playing Apex, MW, or Fortnite, I would have really bad FPS spikes, I would get a constant 165FPS (My Refresh rate) and then drop really fast to 60 FPS or something under 100 FPS.
and it would really mess up my game and make my gaming experience horrible.
I have come to the conclusion that I'm having a GPU bottleneck so I've been looking around and I feel like I should buy either  RTX 2060 or a RX 5700.

What do you guys have to say.

Ram speed? Single or dual dimms?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

A 3gb 1060 is not much these days, you will have a nice system with a better GPU that's for sure. I recommend a 2060 Super, it has 8GB VRAM that is 256-bit, you can save some bucks on a 6GB 2060 but not too much. AMD has had a lot of problems with drivers, VBIOS and coolers and I don't feel like I can recommend their cards as I don't know the exact state of these things now.

I have 4 ram sticks, all 3200Mhz, and I believe dual?

I would have to check

You have to quote us so we can see your responses.

if you're running 4 dimms, you've got dual channel so that's not the main issue. Did you make sure it's running at the appropriate speed?

well, My board is limited to 2666Mhz but I can overclock them to their original speed.
But I have no clue on how to so I just keep it a 2666Mhz

you forgot to list your motherboard

instead of the typed list, can you put your spec list as a pcpartpicker.com list in the original post?

I could.
But my Bio should say my motherboard if you click on my account.
I'm really new to this website.

Ik, but I don't want to try to go to 3200Mhz, yes the Ram sticks are 3200Mhz.
But I tried to go to 3200Mhz and my computer wouldn't boot so I just left it how it is.

Here is the link to the Ram Sticks I have: https://www.amazon.com/Silicon-Power-Turbine-3200MHz-288-pin/dp/B07NKYM62D/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2SSS147287T3Z&keywords=silicon+power+16gb+ddr4+ram+3200&qid=1584834882&sprefix=Silicon+Power+16gb+DDR4+RAM+%2Caps%2C160&sr=8-1&swrs=0FF2C0F847E8D4D2567511194669D925

4 dimms is difficult for most motherboards to run at higher speeds, so you should try manually setting the speed. You can find many guides for MSI motherboards on YouTube.

Well, ram speed isn't my issue, I'm current worried about my GPU, but I will try something with my Ram sticks.
But I think what the guy said before could be something to look into.
Getting an RTX 2060 SUPER

Slow ram is bad for gaming performance on Ryzen, you specifically said you were having game performance issues. Are you sure the ram is not the issue?
