Two Graphics Cards (Non-SLI)

DarienCS

So I have two dedicated graphics card in my system, new one which I bought today, want to try to continue to use my second one rather than selling it. So the question is, can I use the graphics cards for different monitors? Windows recognizes both but when I plug a monitor into the second graphics card it doesn't show up. I also can't select the second graphics card for any encoding while recording (though may just have to be the graphics card that is running the monitor). Is there any way I can get use out of my second graphics card?

Nevermind, I figured it out, for some reason my computer doesn't like when I plug another monitor into the first display port of my secondary GPU. However plugging it into the second one works
