Hello, I recently came across a GPU from a friend, and I was wondering if it could be possible to run a second GPU with my setup and if so how would I benefit? My current setup is an Asus Maximus VII Formula motherboard, with a Nvidia Geforce 780, an Intel i7 -4790k CPU @ 4.00GHZ, 16GB of  RAM, a 128GB Samsung SSD, a 16TB Seatgate 7200RPM HDD and a 850W Power Supply.  I got that setup for a hundred bucks from a neighbor moving out. The GPU I want to put in is a Nvidia Quadro K5200. The workload on this machine is shared, (all on one account). It is a home PC which is used for Video/Photo editing, DAW work, Gaming, streaming, and a few other tasks.
So my question is, can I use this with this setup and find a better workload in some way? It is a nice piece of hardware and I don't really just want it to sit around or to sell it.
My initial thought was that the Quadro K5200 would be better for all the video/photo editing and DAW work but the Geforce 780 would be better for gaming. I am open to suggestions and assistance if possible.

Thank you,

Damn I was really hoping, unsure of what I'll do with the GPU then. I am thinking of possibly switching to the K5200 since we are all usually editing content more then Gaming (Except for one of us only games)

Got a spare computer just sitting around?  Set it up and get it Folding @ Home.

That aside, try the Quadro (after properly uninstalling the Geforce drivers and installing the correct drivers).  See if it fits your needs.
