Extention cable

I bought a lapboard from corsiar with a k63 keyboard and a rgb harpoon mouse but when I put it in the pc directly it works fine but when I use a extention cable it fails to work what can I do to make it work?

Do you know the length of the extension cable? USB 2.0 cables cannot be longer than 5 metres, that's 16ft 5".

It's longer then that I think do I have to buy a USB 3 cable or a adapter or something?
