What launcher?

What did you install?

If you just installed the FAHClient then you're not going to see anything, F@H just runs in the backgroud as a service.

You need to install FAHControl in order to configure and see what the software is doing.

Install FAHcontrol to control it

This is old but FAHcontrol doesn't work on Ubuntu for some reason. In case anyone else has this problem, use web control: https://client.foldingathome.org/

F@H on linux only installs a background process that folds in the background. without any sort of application to launch.

To see something, either go to the web control via http://localhost:7396/ or install the fahcontrol app from https://foldingathome.org/start-folding/

Don't mix being popular and common becasue ot being the best, and being common and popular because it was the first thing the people saw.

On Pop!_OS 19.10 if you try to install fahcontrol deb file, Eddy just mumbles something about Python2 and fails to install it. It's because on newer versions of Ubuntu and Debian python-gnome2 is no longer included, so apps written with it won't work.

This is a tutorial that supposedly fixes the issue, but with that much hassle maybe it's easier to just stick with web control (it can also backfire and break something):

Until they make another client, this is what it is.
