My cooler master mwe 750 gold came with a single CPU ATX cable it has 3 (4 if you decouple the 4+4) plugs instead of 2 I know one goes to the psu but I want to make sure the this is a compatibility thing and not like my mother board is supposed to have another header. It is the X570 AORUS elite wifi and only has a single 8 pin CPU header. I just want to make sure it will not be too much power for the header or something. If the photo is not clear the (4+4) come out of the 8 pin

Do I just plug in the 8 pin (it fits perfectly) and hide the additional (4+4)?  Also if this is the wrong place sorry, I wasn't sure what exactly a cable question would be classified as.

"CM-PSU" end connects the PSU side.

You can use either the 8-pin "CPU" connector, or the 4+4 pin "CPU" connector.

Correct, just hide the unused one.

Cooler Master made it so, if your motherboard supports it, you can connect more CPU connectors to give it more power during extreme overclocking.

For example, the ASUS Crosshair VII Hero has a 8-pin + 4-pin header for the CPU power.

The Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master has TWO CPU 8-pin headers.

Because if you want to break some world overclocking records...you can on those motherboards. 😃
