I wanted to do a build showcase, but I only have some of the parts right now and I'd like to show some of them off. Would it be acceptable to have one main post with my progress now, and then add a new one below and save it for more pictures, which is reserved? That would make the thread a bit tidier then. Or should I just edit my original post? Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm new to forum etiquette (this is the only forum I'm on).

Just make your first post. Then make a few replies to it with "reserved" in them. Perfectly fine to do so. ;)

But why? There's no real limit to how the original post can be, so there's really no reason not to just edit it. Post count really doesn't matter all that much....

Possibly the ease of editing if you have a really long post?

But what do I know

Stock coolers - The sound of bare minimum

It will be okay if it isn't like 10 reserved post. Do just about 5 or 6.

Okay, thanks for the help guys :)

What do you mean about post count?

I think he was under the assumption you were going to do it to artificially inflate your post count for you ego, some people think higher post count is better. Gives them a bigger e-penis.

Well isn't that the only real reason to not just edit your post? Surely scrolling isn't all that hard.

it does get messy when you have posts that almost cover entire pages, seperating them just makes it easier, both for the reader and the op.

Okay, I know what you mean. Sometimes people don't like to read very long posts though. I suppose that's just them though. I'm fine with doing either way, I just wonder which way people would prefer to have a post formatted.

Ah, well size isn't everything you know - the quality is just as, if not, even more important :P

It really doesn't matter. Do it however you prefer, some just complain no matter what. :)
