EVGA PowerLink

James N.

Anyone know if the EVGA PowerLink will work with the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti OC Edition?

Have a pic of the 8 pin placement? If it's an 8+8 or 8+6 and close to the end of the card you should be fine.

No. I won't have the GPU till Wednesday. However, I watched one of the JayzTwoCents videos about this card and the tabs appeared to face the proper direction but, I might be wrong though. I was hoping someone here might have tried it at some point.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm......

The 8 pins are inset a bit and the cooler also sticks out below them, might not work:

This is the best shot I have of mine on a pair of 780s so far, I could get better ones when I'm home tonight:

But they do stick out a bit on both the left and bottom sides of the 8 pin, they might not clear the PCB on the STRIX. I'll try and get a top down shot tonight to see how far they stick out from the card itself.

Wait... Damn, no it's not going to work. The tabs where the cable latches to the plug need two be on the bottom of the plug, Not the top like in the picture. Thanks for your help!

it should work as the ports on the Powerlink can be slid as you have seen in the video. and its a Geforce card made by Nvidia just like the RTX GeForce cards are from EVGA so it should work.

this is the link to the Powerlink and you can see just about the pics it has a list that has compatibility on it which shows all the EVGA cards its compatible with. https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=600-PL-2816-LR

Like he pointed out the 8 pins are upside down (compared to the PowerLink) on the ASUS card, so it's not compatible at all. The PowerLink connectors cannot be flipped unless you wanna toast your GPU.
