Headset Static Noises

Hello.

Well I bought a Corsair HS50 headset about 3 weeks ago and since there I have a static noises problem.

So I tried to change microphone boost and input gain from Windows 10 but it turns to be so quiet though I could get microphone closer to my mouth and speak, but when I was playing CSGO while I was talking my teammates could just hear some buzzing noise and when I tried Nvidia Recorder to record my game and hear it again, there was no sound at all but my last mic worked well on this recording thing. Also I think my motherboard sound card is bad because my overall headphone quality is better on my monitor input than my motherboard so I bought a cheap sound card and still have the same problem. Also I use a splitter to change my headset jack to headphone and mic jack ( I think the problem is with my splitter maybe) now I'm thinking of buying a SoundBlasterX G1 which has just one input and that is a headset one. If anyone have an idea please share it with me, thank you. (sorry if I had grammar problem)

Maybe you have automatic gain control (AGN) turned on for your microphone in your sound settings? That's known to cause such issues.

I checked settings and there was something AGC that was off

Does the Corsair software have a sidetone setting? My Logitech has sidetone and it causes static because it pumps some ambient noise in to your ears.

unfortunately corsair doesn't have one, least for my headset

Ok well you need to go through a process of elimination as it could be many things. Do you have any other ports and/or devices you can try to see if the same happens?

 

If it happens on all of devices it’s could be your headset or your splitter, in that case you could try another splitter, or connecting your headset to a device with a combo-jack.

 

If it only happens on one device it could be the sound card/chip, make sure any power cables aren’t close to the card/chip or cables carrying the audio. Here you could also try a USB adapter as they’ll have their own audio processor built in.

It might be impropper grounding on the outlet (wall power socket) or a bad extension cord / bad surge protector. Check that you don't have some voltage on the ground line.
