Which AMD CPU should I choose?

I know I've asked this question before but now its gotten to the point to where, because of the alcohol virus, both the Ryzen 7 2700x and the Ryzen 5 3600 are pretty much the same price on ebay used for the 2700x and Newegg new for the 3600. I like to play games like BeamNG Drive, GTA V, Minecraft, Avorion, TerraTech, and a few others as well as doing content creation at 1080p. I am also capable of overclocking either or. I'm just wondering which is the better deal?

I would go with the 3600 due to better IPC and while it has two less cores than the 2700x the IPC boost will, in most cases, cancel out that difference for the most part.

Those benchmarks looks better for gaming, but I wish they also showed Cinebench R20 scores, Blender render times and other apps that utilized all cores/threads. 2700x would score around 3900 and 3600 is around 3575 for Cinebench R20.

I think i could sacrifice some multi-threaded performance for more single threaded performance.
