Seriously thinking about getting an Index. However I've been watching Alyx vids and it seems like you need to aim where you want to go (and you teleport), there's no WASD-ish on the controllers?

No, but some games use the thumb pad like a joystick (although this can cause lots of nausea)

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

So a few things to note here:

Yes, afaik, Alyx is Tele-locomotion by default. It warps you from spot to spot as a way of giving VR newbies a way to play without getting motion sick.

Usually after about 15 hours in VR, most of the people I work/play with switch from tele to slide movement, where your joystick or thumbpad just kinda slides you a long in the direction your controller is pointing (though sometimes turning your head will turn which direction you're moving).

So yes, "WASD" is essentially the joystick/thumbpad, which can be toggled to teleportation or sliding motion. Rec Room has a really good implementation of this and allows you to switch between the two in a matter of seconds from the game menu.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

More and more VR games are offering multiple ways to move. So you can use teleportation if you're prone to nausea, or traditional ("sliding") movement if you're not. The three recent Half-Life Alyx gameplay videos show both teleportation and traditional movement, two of them have teleportation, but not this one:
