Hi all,

My last PC build was back in 2012 and my PC has been collecting dust the past 2 years after the motherboard was destroyed in a move.

Since then Ive been using laptops. I've finally got into a position where I can upgrade my old Rig. Components for my last build were:

CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-3570K 3.40 GHz 6MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1155

MOTHERBOARD: * [CrossFireX/SLI] GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H Intel Z77 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ IRST, Lucid Virtu MVP, Ultra Durable4, 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, Display Port, 3x Gen3 PCIe X16, 3x PCIe x1 & 1 PCI

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 4GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card (x2)

Im looking into upgrading to:

AMD RYZEN 7 3700X 8-Core 3.6 GHz (4.4 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 65W 100-100000071BOX Desktop Processor

ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING AM4 AMD B450 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard

OLOy 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model MD4U0836180BHKDA

MSI GeForce RTX 2060 DirectX 12 RTX 2060 GAMING Z 6G 6GB 192-Bit GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Max budget will probably be around $1000

If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks everyone.

Is it a gaming focused build?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

If I were you I'd think about getting a lower end CPU and upgrading your gpu. The 2060 is very good, however you should consider a 2060 super (on the nvidea side) or even a 5700xt.

this is the build I'd do.
