Dear Community,

I finally took the jump and got into windows 10. So far it has been a decent experience, many thanks to openshell!

One thing that is kind of unwieldy though is the firewall. I started configuring it securely (blocking all outbound traffic) but I can't find reliable information on what processes require outbound access for all the security features to work.

There are a bazillion sites which explain how to use the fw, but I used it with win 7 for years now. What I really need is info on the right exe files to allow through.

Thanks in advance for any input on that matter!

Regards,

Chief

Many programs need outbound connection. Block only programs that you don't want to communicate with internet. Blocking outbound connections may sometimes slow down loading your program because programs trying to connect and wait for response for some time.
