For my build i'm interested in buying the ASUS ROG STRIX 2060 SUPER to go with my i7-9700K, but there are 2 variants :

 

ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 Super OC 8GB ($799 AUD ) OC Mode - GPU Boost Clock : 1860 MHz , GPU Base Clock : 1500 MHz
Gaming Mode (Default) - GPU Boost Clock : 1830 MHz , GPU Base Clock : 1470 MHz

 

ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 Super Advanced 8GB ($699 AUD ) OC Mode - GPU Boost Clock : 1710 MHz , GPU Base Clock : 1500 MHz
Gaming Mode (Default) - GPU Boost Clock : 1680 MHz , GPU Base Clock : 1470 MHz

 

Which one would be best for gaming, i am only buying the 2060 now as it is good value and i could save the extra $1200 AUD instead of the 2080ti ($2000 AUD ) and put that towards saving for the 3000 series coming up!

Boost clocks doesnt matter if you will overclock yourself. I have more problem with going for a premium custom model though when the whole point is saving money for the next card

just wait for 3000 if that is what you really want and don't waste the money on a 2060
