r5 3600 4.2ghz

corsair vengeance lpx 2x8 3200mhz

asus rog strix b450-f

For some odd reason the ram wont oc with the timings i get from dram calc, it oc's but auto sets the timings(which are horrendous) even though I manually set everything in the bios. Tbh with you, the computers performance is outstanding so staying at 3200mhz isnt the end of the world. But i specifically bought this ram with the intention that i could bump up the speed if need be, so its a little annoying that i cant lol thanks in advance, any and all help is greatly appreciated

nope, gear down and power down both disabled as per dram calc

give me an example then because I have no idea what it exactly does

For example if you set 3600MHz and manually set timings, your timings will be different than what you set?

Will the timings be the same as previously if you set 3600MHz and leave timings on AUTO?

exactly the timings will be different then what i set, and if i keep everything auto and set the ram to 3600mhz, its the same timings that replace my manual timings

Honestly, no idea.

It may be that memory training failed but kept your clock speed and reverted timings to AUTO or some setting that causes this.

Make sure to disable ECC in the BIOS (if you can find it, it may help a lot) and also apply the Advanced settings from the DRAM calc that may be burried somewhere deep in the BIOS.

I have a different motherboard but also ASUS so there may be some simmilarities in BIOS.

This may help... IDK

obviously don't copy all the settings exactly as I have it there, but some of them may give you a clue.

Deff some settings missing from my bios, I am updated to the latest version but i think its just a matter of this mobo not being as capable to oc. I think im going to just return it and go with an x570 board since they are best suited for the 3000 series. Thanks for everything though the help was much appreciated
