Hi,

I'm experiencing a bizare problem when installing windows 7. After the installation, when at the screen where you chose your user and computer name, after clicking next a loading takes place, then I get an error message saying "interactive logon process has failed. Check event log for more details". The computer then shuts down and reboots and does its first windows boot without a problem.

However, I am experiencing a lot of crashes, especially during amd driver install and basic multitasking. I am using stock bios settings, one of which is ide sata mode. I also enabled xmp support for ram but am using auto voltages and timings. My bios has a recent version.

Also, I noticed my cpu temp, as stated in the bios, hovers around 50 oC. However, HWmonitor gives a package temp in the low 10s. Tmpin0,1 and 2 (mobo sensors) are in the mid-high 30s in idle.

I googled this error message but people give the advice of doing a clean install, which is when the error arise for me.

Is this error relevant and does it have anything to do with my system's instability?

Spoiler
