having fun, bought a mouse for myself for christmas a G903, it had a defect on the Wheel where in freerunning mode, it wobbles and makes this wierd jumb, seems to be unstable. the mouse with not put in use before a couple of weeks ago, did not get around to it..

so contacted Logitech support, with a movie with it clearly showing that the mouse have a hardware defect..

First 2 questions was...

if i had reinstalled drivers, and updated the firmware, then if that solves the problems then the ticket would automatically close after a few days..

Wrote them back, that i did not really see how that would solve a mechanical failure, but i was running the newest software..

So now they are asking me to please try the mouse in another PC...

Logitech support used to be so good, remember just having to show a picture of a mouse with a cut wire, and you would get a replacement, this is not a cheap mouse, and have 3 MX Master mice at work with the same wheel type that works perfectly after being abused..

if it was not the only mouse type i liked this would have had me change brands, have bought so many logitech products in my lifetime. tried the Roccat Kone RGB (which is in my desk drawer hated it) and the M6x Corsair also a piece of crap.

your in denmark.. don't you have consumerlaw like in norway? :D ... it's new anyway so should not be a problem.

yes i can return it to the seller, and do an RMA, but "timely" RMA, and since it has a DEFECT of a rolling wheel, but the actual function of it is okay... then the discussion will start, and they have the right to bill you on time used, if they deem it not able to be RMA... so if Logitech accept it, it is much easier..

we have a forced 2 years of "limited" warrenty.. from manufacturing errors and other elements.

oh.. here we have 5 year consumer factory defect warranty. most places just check and swap it if it's under 3 years. a bit depending on wear and tear :D..

I have the logitech G700, G903 has a button behind the wheel you can push to get freerolling right? .

Logitech support is an oxymoron.

well it will get done i know it, but it is just a waste of time... i guess the employees has not hardware knowledge, so they just run though a checklist.

running my old G502 again, so nice with a mouse, that works.
