So, once again I'm in a search for a new mouse...for some reason this has always been a hard quest for me and never feel fully satisfied with new mices even tho I'm aware theres no such thing as a perfect mouse.

I'm an architect and will be using this mouse mainly for cad and design software aswell as general use, no gaming.

Up until now I've been using razer naga and logitech g700, but aparently both have decided to die and develop the double clicking issue at the same time.
The g700 has the perfect shape for me, its very confortable and my hands rests perfectly but the scroll wheel has always had a flimsy feel, its just not solid for my line of work. I'm constantly zooming in and out and panning with the wheel click, and I need the wheel to be acurate and firm. At first I thought I got a defective one, exchange it at the store and the new one was the same, I guess its cus of the free scroll feature that it feels kinda lose to me.
The Naga on the other hand has a great wheel, I love it, but the mouse shape its not that confortable for me, not sure if its a lack of ergonomics or it might be a bit too big for my small/mid size hands (17,5 cm x 10 cm).
So I've been using both depending on the task at hand.

What I'm looking for:
  • Ergonomic shape is a must, I have this thing in my hand 8-10 hours a day, as a reference the g700 feels awsome. I mostly use a palm grip, but often use claw.
  • Decent scroll wheel, must be acurate and responsive, firm enought that when pressing the wheel click it doesnt scrool. I dont care about free scroll, side tilt clicks are welcomed but not a must.
  • Extra buttons are very welcomed, I constantly switch between similar software that has diferent shotcuts, so being able to map them to mouse buttons helps to keep them in the same place independent from what software I'm using. Not a must tho.
  • Must be wireless and dont need a dock as receiver (usb dongle idealy)
  • Battery life, as long as I dont have to charge it more than once a week I'm fine.
  • Weight, I generaly prefer them on the heavy side but I can adapt to any.
  • I'm not keen on the gamer looks, feel like "weird" shapes as spaceships and lights dont look very profesional for a workplace and meetings, but its something I can live with if it meets all my needs.

I'm looking at the MX master 2s/3, but I'm worried about the scroll wheel performance, seen a lot of mixed opinions and complains about it.
Also the G604, again logitech free scroll wheel terrifies me lol also not sure if the shape might not be a bit too flat for my like

On a side note, I dont have the oportunity to try mouses at my local store and there are no returns/exchange unless its defective, so its kinda a hit and miss for me. Need to rely on reviews and your imput.

Any other recomendations or opinions are welcomed!

Logitech mouses have always been my go to- I love them, they just seem to work the best for me. The free scroll on my logitech mouse sometimes gets hit every once in a while and runs crazy, but the ergonomics of the thumb rest etc feel best for me..Im running the logitech 502 fyi

Well my experience with logitech scroll wheels isnt very good and I kinda rely on it a lot.

I was watching some reviews and apparently on the mx master you cant assign simple macros to buttons…(by simple I mean like shift+D or ^copy+enter, basically softaware keyboard commands) only assign pre established actions or single keystrokes. thats a no go for me, I mean, I can live without macros tbh, but not gonna spend $50+ for that

can anyone confirm that?

think the basilisk x hyperspeed just made it to the maybe list
