XMP Profile Strange Behavior

Go to solution Solved by Constantin,

There is a setting in memory tab in bios that is saying, check memory at start, or something like that. Disable this, you should be fine.

Hi guys! I'm experiencing a strange issue and I hope I can get some help. My PC specs are listed below. (ps: I'm new to overclocking)

I recently enabled the XMP profile for my motherboard, however, when I shut down my PC and it starts up again, it always posts in safe mode and runs my memory at 2133MHz. After going into the UEFI, changing nothing, and continuing to Windows, everything works fine and according to CPU-Z, my memory is running at 2400MHz with the XMP timings. I have also gamed without any instability or crashes. I tried reverting back to the auto mode in my UEFI but I still ALWAYS post in safe mode. Is there any way to avoid this? Thanks!

PC Specs:

Motherboard: ASUS H110-PLUS

Processor: Intel Core i7-7700 @3.60 GHz

Memory: XPG Z1 DDR4 2400MHz (PC4 19200) 16GB (2x8GB) Gaming Memory Modules, Silver (AX4U240038G16-DSZ1)

Graphics: ASUS PH-GTX 1060 3GB (overclock: GPU boost clock - 1878MHz, Memory clock: 8808MHz)

I wasn't able to find that setting but I found something that lets me disable the amount of time it waits to post, and it appears to have worked once. I will do multiple boot cycles to confirm.

Edit: found the setting! Thanks!
