First Build

This PC will be for gaming and light CAD. My budget is around 2,300 USD without taxes(2,600 ish total), along with a 1440p 144hz+ monitor (IPS or higher end VA) and the ane pro 2 100USD mechanical keyboard. I can't decide if I want my first build to be a flex with fancy and cool RGB or if I want pure performance. Also I need $ for OS, 365, anti virus etc.

I've made this 2 builds. Please make sure to scold me on what I did wrong:

Performance

Aesthetics:

Thoughts?????????

Im really late to this, and k wont do much untill im gonna sleep, but i might do more tomorrow

CPU choice doesnt make sense, step down to the 65w tdp variants, the 3600 and 3700x.

The MSI board is pretty poor iirc.

The powersupplynis overkill, and the storage config is overpriced (get an MP34 or A80 instead.)

You can save on the cooler by getting something like the cryorig R1 instead.

Ill chuck something together tomorrow i think if i remember.

Usually the forum is fairly active, odd that it didnt pick up traction.

Hello,

I'd go with performance :

3800x is just an overclocked 3700x.

Better motherboard for less.

I got a cheaper NVMe, the performance are similar but it's a SM2262EN controler instead of a Phison E12.

A fairly priced case for a good airflow and still good aesthetic imo.

Better PSU with a lower wattage as you won't need more. There is also a 650 and 750W for around the same price.
