Stylus with Hp Pavilion X360 11m?

Sorry if this is a really dumb question, but I draw/ take a lot of notes on y laptop for school and I have gone through 3-4 of the cheap rubber tipped stylus's over the past few months from use on my laptop. I was thinking about buying an active stylus that would work better and last longer but I then found out how complicated this world was and was wondering if anyone has any advice. Is there something I should be looking for or is like only an official hp branded stylus supported? I know there are different touchscreen technologies and that affects stylus use but I have no idea what is what basically. So, like any help or suggestions would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!
