Strange keyboard layout

Hello,

 

I was faced with the following keyboard layout.

 

The end user told me that it was impossible to find the appropriate keyboard layout in the Windows setting. I didn't find it either.

After disassembling the computer to have access to the rear of the keyboard, I found the part number; confirming that it is a Canadian keyboard.

But looking up on google, I see that Canadian keyboards are "QWERTY".

 

Is this keyboard an actual layout ? If yes, witch one ?

Or did the end user swap keys ?

It's just French ISO AZERTY, I think.

Yep it's a french keyboard layout. I would assume those are used as well in Canada. 

Look at the Caps Lock key, it says 'verr. maj.' which stands for 'verrouiller majuscules'

Looks like FR-CA ISO layout even because FR layout is quite different too.

On the French layout, you need to activate "Caps lock" to get the numbers.

Apparently that's a notebook keyboard with some additional function keys?

Yes, it's a laptop keyboard.

Thanks, so the end user or someone else swapped the keys.

I'm not risking breaking the keyboard to put the keys back to their place. He's paying for a new one

Just with a regular QWERTY layout instead of AZERTY

AZERTY is a french layout, not a lot of people use it in Québec and probably even less in the rest of Canada ... at least nobody I know ...

 

I've seen some AZERTY keyboard for sale on Kijiji and I juste assumed that it was french people selling them.
