Random high memory usage pike? Help!

For some reason now when I play games like Gta, (maybe others), my memory spikes to 95+% for some odd reason which then causes my games to start not responding then crash. But before this started happening I was playing Gta at near max settings and it has never done that, Someone please give me some tips to help because at this point I cant play any games.
