Audio question?

Sorry if this is lengthy.

Hey every1 new here.was just looking for a little advice.

My issue is.iv got my PC set up in my spare room.next to our bed room.i have my main monitor on my desk where the PC is and main keyboard and mouse.

In my room. I have ran a hdmi lead through the wall to my TV in the bedroom.im carrying audio over hdmi to the TV.

And I have worked out how to also get audio to my desk.that's not the issue.

Now what I want. is to be able to get audio from what's on the screen at the desk.only at my desk and the audio to what's on the TV in my bed room only in my bed room.

So in theory I can sit at my desk and either game or watch what I want to watch and my wife can be in our room and use the TV.at the moment this works apart from both rooms receiving both audios.

Iv got a wireless keyboard and mouse for the bedroom.

The PC has the b450 aorus pro mb.with onboard graphics running TV and the msi gtx1650 running the monitor at my desk..

 

Do I need a sound card aswel or is it just software tinkering?
