Overclocking

I need help I am making my first pc I’ve watched many PC builds but never saw anything for overclocking my build I’m trying to over clock my CPU close to about 4—Max does my other hardware able to keep up with it.... ALSO I HAVE 100 MORE DOLLARS TO SPEND IF U SHOULD UPGRADE JUST TELL ME

 

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHZ 8 Core

Cooler Master Master Liquid 240 66.7 CFM

ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus ATX AM4

OlOy 16GB (2x8) DDR4-2000 memory 

Samsung 970 Evo 500Gb M.2-2280

Seagate Barracuda Compute 2TB 7200RPM

Power Color Radeon RX 5600 XT 6GB

Gamemax Centauri ATX Mid tower case

EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze

Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 is totally overkill for that CPU!!

Get a decent air cooler.

As for the PSU total garbage

Yeah I agree with them on this one.

I'd pair down the cooler and mobo...change the CPU to a 3600...toss the HDD for now....dump the extra money into a 5700 XT.

Do you already own these parts? If so, then save your money for future.

 

As for overclocking, watch some guides on how-to. OCing is whole another thing than just building a PC, so those aren't discussed on same videos. You should try to search motherboard specific guides, not CPU specific. You will learn more about what different features do that way.
