ASUS VG248QE Problems?

Hey guys, I'm new here, I'll introduce myself in another thread..

But I just recieved this new monitor to go along with my old monitor (here) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052

 

But I have some issues with it, unlike my other monitor, if you aren't looking at the VG248QE at the right angle, the color is off tremendously, and from across the room the screen looks very distorted in terms of color and brightness, why is this?

My other monitor does not do this, and appears to be better quality.. It's 3 years old..

 

Anyways, should I send this one back, do you know what I'm talking about, or should i stop complaining...  thanks!

it's a crappy TN monitor (have seen it in person and I thik the colours etc are really crappy). I'm pretty sure you based your purchase on newegg reviews. Remember to not do that ever again and get an IPS monitor instead. I would think newegg won't accept your return, nevertheless it doesn't hurt to try. Sell your monitor on craigslist otherwise and then use that money for a nice cheap ips monitor from acer or dell.

The viewing angles on this thing are absolutely not okay. I have already put it back in the box to send back or re-sell. Do not buy this monitor though,

 

Any other monitors about the same size that actually look decent from all angles? lol
