Trying to decide between ultrawide or 32in 4k

JayGee

I just built a new computer and got a nice standing desk.

I am trying to decide between getting a 34in ultrawide or 2 x 32in 4k monitors.  I mainly will be surfing the web and programming on the machine.  I realize I could just do 2 x 27in but I figured I'd go all out since I am buying new equipment.

Are 32in 4k considered too big?  Will I need to do scaling or is it fairly easy to ready and stare at it for a few hours at a time?

Unless you're going to really be taking advantage of the 4K that seems unnecessary. An ultra wide monitor (or two) seems much more usable to your case, especially being able to have multiple larger windows side-by-side without having to look at a different screen while programming.

The 4k monitor scale very well 2x 4k monitors any day if the week.
