Help with connecting modular PSU

SnarklyDuck

Hi, I finally got all the parts for my first ever build and I'm in the planing stage now as I don't want to mess anything up.

The PSU I bought (Corsair RM650X) is modular and I'm a bit confused about where I should plug the PCI-E cable for the GPU and where the CPU cable. The cables are straight forward, but here's where my question comes in:

There's three ports with 8pins and they are marked with "6+2 PCI-E & 4+4 CPU".

Does that mean that the first of the three is for pcie and the second and third for cpus or the other way around or it doesn't matter at all?

Thank you in advance :)
