I receive a lot of blue lines down my screen with my GPU The computer was dropped on move, I already preparing for the worst case scenario that it is done/fried! the lines I get are really similar to this.

GPU is Sapphire Vapor X Radeon R9 280x 3Gb

anything helps, computer is 5 years old the specs are

I replaced my GPU with an older one (AMD Radeon HD 7700 sereis)  but doesn't really hold to my expectations

You tried a different GPU and it’s still doing that?

 

If so, it could be the PCIe slot or the monitor. Try a different PCIe slot as a place to start. But if you said you used a older GPU and it fixed it, just try and reinstall the GPU, it could have just jumped out a little bit.
