I built my first computer like 2 weeks ago, and I am getting the itch. The itch to upgrade. I really love water cooling and I am considering trying it out. But I do need to get a lot of parts. Below are the specs of my pc. I don't want to buy any new pc parts that aren't (water blocks or tubing etc) but I will probably need to get a new case, I was thinking about the O11 dynamic xl because Iove how it looks and ekwb has  very nice looking distro plate. I don't really want to do hardline but I might but I'll need to get a heat gun. Can you guys help me pick good parts and design a loop and tell me about how long/hard it will be?

Thanks!

First off, the 011 is an amazing choice! I have the case myself and love it.

As for the watercooling part:

When you pick the 011 with a distro plate, you want to for aesthetics. Therefore soft tubing will look a bit disapointing.

Hard tubing on the other hand is a bit tricky, especially for first time watercooling. It's up to you.

For the watercooling parts, use the EK configurator. It's a great tool: https://www.ekwb.com/configurator/

I did my first loop using hardline, honestly its not that hard, just takes some time, I still had mine done in about 5 hours using a core p5 and cooling both the gpu and cpu. As for parts, what kind of budget do you have? Custom loops can get expensive real quick so lets make sure you have enough resources to buy what you need to do the job right

I don't want to spend more than ~400, I might wait a year before doing this project if it costs more because I just spent $1500 on my new pc and soon a new monitor.

I  was thinking to get started to get the custom loop kits from ekwb but I am not sure.

If you are just going to cool the CPU for now those kits are fine, make sure they arent aluminum rads, I couldnt see on the site if they specify so you might need to email them. As someone else said soft tubing isnt as nice looking but it gets your foot in the door and it you use on of those kits then you arent using the distribution plate off the hop anyways. I think its a fine way to start off and get you started. Some of the pieces in that kit will be reusable in the future anyways.

Yeah, and when it comes to the gpu the only gpu block I found is from bykski and thats fine but then I'd probably go all bykski.
