Upgrade!

Go to solution Solved by rares495,

PSU first. That thing can explode at any moment. RAM + SSD next.

In my previous thread on Laptops and Pre-built systems I discussed the posibility of buying a brand new laptop for video editing, motion graphics and gaming purposes that could out perform my r5 1600 build for under $650. I came to the conclusion that I won't be able to get a good deal for that money (at least in my country) and I also my enthusiasm for PC building is huge. With that being said, I'd like to upgrade my current Ryzen build (small tweaks here and there) so it's more effective in video editing.
This is my current build:

The upgrade paths I had in mind were:

  • Getting a 2x8gb 3200Mhz CL 16-18-18 RAM kit
  • Upgrading both PSU and v-card
  • Getting an SSD for OS + video and photo editing software
  • Better monitor
  • Changing my PSU for something more reliable before going ahead with all the upgrades

Which one should I go for first?

In a shithole called Argentina. My budget is $100 which is around $7500 argentinean pesos. Is there any brand or model lines you'd suggest? So I figure if they are available here

As far as I know, the deals here are awful. The market price for a Thermaltake Smart 650w PSU is around U$D90

Seasonic Focus GX/PX, Super Flower Leadex II, Corsair RM 2019, EVGA G2/P2

If you can find a deal on one of these, you're golden.
