turned off my computer .. went to sleep .. woke up .. couldnt turn it on

i made sure : the 8 pins of the cpu is properly plugged in ..the 16 pins or how ever many that big one is  ..

basically every cable is plugged in properly .

the lights on my motherboard are on .. like normal

- i tried reseting the bios

-i tried removing the 2 pins of the power button and turning on using a screw driver .. didnt work (i have a little light in my screw driver that turns on when i use it to turn on from the motherboard )

- i tried removing the rams .. didnt work .. tried using only 1 .. didnt work .. i put them back on

- i tried removing the gpu .. didnt work .. plugged it back in

- at this point im like 10000% there is no problem in my power button .. gpu .. ram

i completely gave up .. unpluged the gpu .. got a hair dryer and tried to get some dust out ( there was barely any dust in my pc anyway ) .. plugged the gpu in .. and my pc just magically turned on .

this is not the 1st time this happens .. it happened before and it just randomly worked when i changed the power plug on the wall ( idk what is it called in english ) .. ( i tried this today and it didnt work ).

what could possibly be causing this problem. cuz at this point idk if my pc is gonna turn on tomorrow or not ..

my build is not new .. like 1.5 years old

my specs

MOBO : Asus Prim B-350 Plus

ram : 2x8 corsair vengeance 3000 mhz

case : corsair spec 04

cpu : ryzen 5 1600 .. with the cooler that came with it

gpu : asus gtx 1050 ti

psu : its bronze 400 watts from corsair

it shouldnt need a graphics card to boot, its not storage because it would then atleast post to BIOS, you tried with just 1 stick of ram, so its not memory,

only components you really get left with are PSU and motherboard,

I think there's a short-circuit somewhere, check the cables that are laying around in the case and try unplugging fans, drives etc, either that or your PSU is bust.

thats what im thinking .. i removed the back of the case and tried moving the cables arround a little bit .. i loosened the screws of my mother board a little bit .. and i unpluged the only fan i have in my case .. all of this didnt seem to work ( well thats what i think .. but i dont rly know what could have got it to work again ) cuz im in the system right now and its completely fine .. but i dont know if this problem is going to happen again

I have a PSU that sometimes refuses to provide stable voltage, but if you let it rest for a while it goes back up again (dying capacitors most likely), could be a similar issue? how old is your PSU?

Using a multimeter to check the 12V rails on the EPS connector and the 24-pin connector, you can google "EPS Pinout" and "24-pin Pinout" to know where your 12V rails are.

Or you can check with software using HWiNFO but I doubt it's accurate.

It must the GPU that's causing the issues; get a new one or give it the oven treatment.
