Looking for epic vr build

Okay so I played a buddies VR system last weekend and wow I'm hooked. I plan on getting the steam VR system due to the half life game announcement. Okay tech geniuses what do u recommend? My budget is a little lose at around 2k not including monitor and periferals or the VR system. Just tower hardware. Yes my friend built his own but it was buggy and crashed while playing so here I am asking you folks.

add whatever case you want, and you can even go as high as an rtx 2080 super if you want, this is basically as good as it gets.
