http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=222 The PSU master approves. I wouldn't worry. TTL must have gotten a bad sample. From looking at a couple of reviews everything seems fine with them.

Thanks for the Post (TFTP)

Yes i have seen a bad review of them after i bought it, but i haven't experienced anything bad happen yet. :)

thanks for the link i will have a look now :) cheers.

That's what this whole modding thing is about IMHO. :)

Yes. The first time i saw some beautiful sleeved cables i lost my load and thought i have to try that, so i tried it for myself. The same with Water cooled PC, and thought i have to try that, and again with cable lacing, and again with rigid tubing, and again with scratch case build.

I see something cool and i want to try to do it myself :)

Hi all, well I need some advice/help.

I'm after some red lights to light a feature in my case (which i still need to make). I'm wanting them light up from left to right (like Knight Rider effect) or pulse (turn on then off again) it only needs to be 10-15cm long. I'm not wanting to light the whole case just this feature.

I have very little experience/knowledge with lights or lighting effects so any ideas/products will be appreciated.

Thanking you in advance.

Looking good so far, like the fact your going to the trouble of making your own case too.

I have ideas to make my own case for a m-itx or m-atx build from nice thick alloy plate. in the future when i have the money.

A question for your build; I see you have galvo and alloy in your case so it will be hard to weld the joints, what are you planning to use to make nice neat fixings / joins between the alloy frame work and the galvo steel sheet plate?

maybe aviation grade rivits?

Looks like you have some good ideas with making a jig so you can cut straight with a jig saw. a small hobby piller drill or AKA drill press would make real nice good drill holes.

can't wait until more updades. good work

got to love Asus components

Hi, thanks, Great question.  :D

i have used nuts and bolts with brackets to hold the frame together and i'm using some screws to screw the panels to the framework. i didn't want to use rivets because it would be very difficult to take the panels off every time i needed to tinker with something inside the case (and i seem to tinker with a lot of things :) )

You may have to look back at some earlier pics i have posted, i think you be able to see what i mean (i must apologies im terrible at explaining myself).

Yes, i wish i could take the credit for that but i saw it on a DIY show and just copied them :) . i am glad that you noticed that. i wasn't sure if i explained it properly.

Thanks man if you have any other questions i'll try and answer them. :)

Bye

Great Build and I love you DIY way of Cutting straight with a Jigsaw :D Simple great talent!

Thanks  i wish i thought of that, but just copied it off some DIY TV show..... see mom i do learn stuff from tv. :)

Yes you can cut perfectly straight lines like that, really quick and easy to cut once measure correctly (i checked it 3 times before each measurement).

Just a tip to anyone wanting to try it.... Make sure you use lots of clamps to hold every thing down properly. With the vibration of the jigsaw it will loosen anything/everything it can, and move when you are cutting. i made that mistake on the first cut but luckily it wasn't bad and i could use it on a smaller panel.
