I am assuming that these temperatures are out of the ordinary for a 7700k with a H100i V2? I have the fans at around 1500RPM, but at the maximum (1700RPM) it isn't much better. The room temperature is around 28C but I doubt that the room temperature is too much to blame as I get 70C at the max on my GPU.

Should I get a new cooler? What are some solutions to this?

I would try reseating the water-block with a new application of thermal paste, is your pump making any weird noise? How hot does it get at idol, will it eventually reach that temp without a load? How old is the AIO?

The AIO is around a year or so old, I haven't noticed any weird noises from it. that are the temperatures at idol right after start up. I was having these problems a while ago so I decided to reseat the waterblock and apply new thermal paste and I noticed no difference.

Sounds like a dead pump if everything is hooked up properly. I would try a cheap air cooler just to see what the idol temps are. Contact corsair about warranty status since its only a year old.

It ends up that it was over a year old. But Amazon being Amazon said that they'd accept the return. For now I have a Gammaxx GT RGB air cooler on which I am getting mid 70C at max. Seems rather high, but considering it is a 7700k in the middle of the Australian summer, it makes sense (for me atleast).
