NAS with WD Essentials

Hi!

After looking through numerous guides and videos ive decided to give up and ask for help

Recently i made my home wireless and decided to take my external HDD (WD Essentials 2tb) and plug it into my router.

Now my issue is that i cant map it to use it as a regular hdd, it shows up under network locations while in "this pc" tab (icon is a globe, a folder and a 3 way connector)

Under network its listed under "media devices", opening it opens media player (icon is a external hdd with a small filmroll and a note)

Cant find it when i look for it during mapping, its newly formatted.

Oh and when connected to the router i pressed the ai disk as it recommended in the router page

Can you add it under map network drive? Screen shot of setting in the router?

What specific settings? Im so clueless when it comes to routers and networks.
