Need help my PC is stuck on black screen

So I have an RX 5700 XT Gaming X, it works great and I love it. But I wanted to do a comparison with my RX 580 4G. So I swapped cards and booted up Windows. I got a benchmark just fine using this card. Then I tried using adrenaline 2020 software to overclock it by selecting the tuning section and have it auto overclock. As soon as I selected the option to overclock GPU the screen went black and the fans ramped up to 100%. I then shut the system off and then booted it back up hoping it would just reset itself. It did not.... So I thought trying the 5700 XT would maybe solve it but I was mistaken. After numerous attempts at windows support, resetting the bios (by taking the motherboard battery out and putting back in while the system is off) and trying to boot in safe mode from a black screen I have no other ideas what I could do. Can anyone offer anything I could try without losing the data on my storage drives? Because windows support recommended to fresh install Windows. I don't see how I could do that with no display. So please somebody help me out this is my first PC build and is the worst problem I've had so far. Thanks in advance.

My guess is that it somehow blew something in the PSU related to power delivery to the GPU, or it fried the GPU outright. Try switching back to the 580 and see if it still works. If it does, then RMA the GPU, if it doesn't, replace the PSU.
