Using secondary GPU for output only

Go to solution Solved by Fasauceome,

Yes that does work. if the 1050 ti ends up taking over sometimes, there are some windows setting to have to go through a set up 1650 super as the default rendering device, but other than that you won't face big issues

Recently I got myself an upgrade in terms of GPU and motherboard from a 1050 ti to a 1650 super (still have both) as well as a change from a A320 to a b450 and I was wondering since that my old 1050 ti had 3 HDMI slot and my 1650 super only has one - is it possible to hook up a bunch of displays to the 1050 ti whilst having my 1650S as the main graphical processing card? I'm sure this has been discussed before though I only found results for adding another graphics card so another display could be added however I'm wondering if you could solely dedicated a Graphics card to displays only.

Thanks...

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

But when using that display that is being rendered by the 1050ti you'll be using it for the rendering not the 1650

No, if you set the default rendering device as the 1650 super it will override the 1050 TI. Linus demonstrated this with his video showcasing how you can use a mining graphics card that has no video output combined with a CPU that has integrated graphics to use video ports, and also the video that used freesync off of the integrated AMD graphics chip but used an Nvidia graphics card to do the rendering.
